    General Summary:
    The Associate Demand Planner is the voice of the customers demand into the supply chain. They are responsible for all forecasting activities associated with customers and products.

    They ensure customers get the product they want, when they want it, and nothing is built that is not in demand.

    They incorporate business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance, retailer replenishment analysts, and others. They leverage analytics and forecast modeling tools to calculate accurate forecasts.


    Duties & Responsibilities:
    Job Functions:1. Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, leverage statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.2.

    Prepare all relevant materials to support and facilitate customer Collaborative, Planning, Forecast & Replenishment (CPFR) and internal Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.3.

    Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing and Customer Finance to understand all relevant and qualitative inputs into the forecast.4.

    Investigate cross-functional discrepancies to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions.5. Develop and submit demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation and time horizons to drive the supply plan.6. Provide input to the Supply Planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.7. Closely coordinate and communicate customer action plans with supply planning.8. Maintain demand planning data and models, ensuring data cleanliness and monitoring forecast error.

    Requirements:

    Years of Experience:
    Minimum 2 years of experience in retail facing consumer goods planningEducation/Training:BA/BS college degree or its equivalent, Math, Economics, Engineering, Operations, Finance or other math-intensive degrees preferred

    Other skills needed or preferred:


    Highly preferred planning in a system (SAP, Oracle or other boutique planning system)Global supply experienceStrong Excel and analysis skillsStrong external communicatorKnowledge of SAP/APO, Stock IQ, Oracle Demand Planning or other software related to demand planning is preferred.
