OVERVIEW:
Saginaw Township Community Schools has approximately 4,400 students (K-12).
Beginning with the school year, the elementary schools changed from K-5 to two lower (K-2) and two upper (3-5) buildings.
In addition, there is a gifted and talented magnet school K-5.Curricular changes during the last few years included using Units of Study for Language Arts, Reveal Math and STEM based science, as well as a major implementation of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Meet the state certification requirements to serve as an elementary assistant principal.
A valid Michigan Administrator certificate is preferred.
Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate preferred.
Valid Michigan Elementary Teaching Certificate preferred.
Master's Degree in Administration or related field preferred.
Five years of successful teaching experience (at least three years in an elementary school).
School Administrative experience preferred
Proficiency in use of technology and knowledge of technology integration with curriculum.
Knowledge of elementary curriculum, Michigan Merit Curriculum, Michigan Regulations and requirements, understanding of data analysis, MTSS, MICIP, progress monitoring, DRA, and NWEA.
Experience preferred.Understanding of teacher evaluation; experience with the 5D+ Teacher Evaluation system desirable.
Regular, in-person attendance required.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES ARE ASSISTING THE BUILDING PRINICAL.
COMPENSATION:
This 215-day position is represented by the Saginaw Township Administrators Association. The collective bargaining agreement expires June 30, 2024. Until a new contract is negotiated, the [ ] salary range is $77,401 to $86,914 with traditional benefits. The employee contribution for health care is 15% [currently ranges from $ single) to $308.49 /month family, BC/BS PPO, $20 Office, RX $10, $20, $50, there will be some incresase for ]. Employees new to the District pay 10% toward other insurances.
Pursuant to Public Act 68 of 1993 and Public Act 83 of 1995, selected new employees shall submit to fingerprints and a criminal background check at the employee's expense.
