    Job Description

    Objective: Grow and serve the assigned geographical territory through a consultative sales approach. Partner with customers to find way to help solve problems and improve their operational efficiency to add value and differentiate PDI from competitors in the marketplace. Establish and maintain PDI as the premier supplier and be first choice amongst the customer base.

    Minimum Requirements:


    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales or related technical field. Significant practical experience in lieu of degree may be acceptable.


    • Minimum 3 years' experience in related industry in a sales or technical role.


    • Goal oriented


    • Constant learner

    Job Requirements:


    • Proven ability to develop sales leads, create a value proposition and penetrate accounts


    • Successful previous experience as a sales representative consistently meeting or exceeding targets


    • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities by using time and resources effectively


    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Strong customer orientation


    • Ability to partner with vendor reps to drive value and solve customer problems


    • Proficient knowledge of computer use such as-E-mail, internet, MS Office, CRM, etc.


    • Strong business acumen and industry experience


    • Highly self-motivated to achieve results, develop strategies, and execute throughout staff

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


    • This is a technical sales position.


    • Conducts needs analysis to determine how to best match the customer's requirement and Power Drives'
    products and services.

    Leads customer discussion with relevant insight and challenges the customer to think differently about their business.

    Explores expressed customer needs and identifies problems to solve—probes to fully understand, clarify and expand.

    Efficiently determines a customer's readiness, focusing time on those who are willing to take advantage of PDI's products and services.


    • Provides customers with solutions that reduce costs or increase efficiency with innovative product or service applications

    Develops solution options using ongoing dialogue with the customer and all available technology.

    Links features and benefits to business outcomes.

    Works with internal Power Drives' contacts and manufacturers to ensure ability to support solution.

    Performs cost savings analysis for customer solution. * Uses checking questions to gain feedback from customer on customized solution recommendation

    Work with retail store managers and marketing team on product promotions for new or existing key products, advertising, sales blitz and oversight of the sales initiative coordination between the outside sales individual and the store manager.

    Develop leads.

    Cold call and warm call prospects.

    Problem solve customer issues.

    Work with internal business partners for problem resolution and value creation.

    Continuous improvement mindset.

    Work with suppliers to develop the marketplace and differentiate vs. the competition.

    Average first year income range: $70,000 to $85,000 (Base Salary plus commission)
