**Job Description**
Robert Bosch LLC is looking for a Technical Project Manager at our Plymouth, MI location. This position includes technical management responsibilities of advanced driver assistance functions. The ideal candidate would be highly self-motivated and have the willingness to dive right in. You will work directly with an entire development team including software developers, application / calibration engineers and project managers to develop customer specific solutions for driver assistance and/or automated driving technologies.
**Below is a highlight of the things you would being working on:**
Technical project management for North American driver assistance projects focus on Radar and Video based systems. These include features like standard adaptive cruise control (ACC), automatic emergency braking (AEB), Lane / Light Control, as well as advanced functions like traffic jam assist (TJA) and highway assist (HWA)
First point of contact as technical customer interface and engineering lead for customer project(s)
Technical lead of engineering project team (mostly software and application engineering, partially hardware engineering)
Ensure system development, validation, and delivery are according to guidelines and processes (e.g. ISO26262, ASPICE)
Lead planning and development activities using Agile development methods for vehicle application/calibration of sensor-based algorithms in both vehicle and lab/offline testing environments
Project handling and status documentation according to specified processes
Monthly reporting of project status to management in US and Germany
Lead software development activities including work package definition and tracking, release planning, resource planning, and quality assessments/audits according to Bosch process landscape
Responsible for evaluating customer specifications including support of translating the system requirements into Rational DOORS, evaluating requirement and test coverage, and tracking of software activities / defects
Support internal test drives and testing events with customers
Preparation and execution of technical presentations for both internal and external customer meetings
Train/mentor fellow associates, interns, and co-ops
Support CIP (Continuous Improvement Process) to optimize development processes and day to day activities
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Qualifications**
BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer engineering, Mechanical engineering, or related degree
2+ years of experience in technical project management or related experience (PMP desirable)
2+ years of experience in automotive
2+ years of experience managing complex software and system architecture projects or related experience
1+ years of vehicle networking and diagnostics, hands-on (mechanical or electrical) type of experience
Basic understanding of complete vehicle and automotive EE-Systems
Experience with vehicle, system test and release procedures in automotive or related industry
Experience in systems / requirements engineering
Knowledge of driver assistance sensor technologies and functions, high interest to work on exciting new driver assistance technologies
Good written / verbal communication and presentation skills to discuss issues / solutions with team and external customer
Customer oriented mindset
Basic knowledge of Microsoft office tools (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, MS Project, etc.)
Flexible, willing to travel (4-6 weeks / year) and participate in test drives (international travel possible)
Good English skills verbal / written (additional languages encouraged)
Comfortable with in-vehicle testing
Good understanding of vehicle architecture and driver assistance interfaces
Capable to understand and follow C/C++ programming
Valid driver license
**Preferred Qualifications**
Ability to structure, moderate, promote collaboration with international teams, negotiate with customer, support global organization, and have good understanding with working in global multicultural projects.
Software engineering experience with C/C++
Strong sense of responsibility and commitment, innovative thinking.
Hands on experience with Agile development methods (SCRUM, Kanban, Lean, etc.)
Capable to work independently in an organized and structured fashion with strong analytical skills that supports a systematic approach to problem resolution and strong communication skills to discuss issues/challenges with global development teams and external customers.
Knowledge of automotive sector, preferably in the Driver Assistance and/or Automated Driving
