Job Description
Lukhozi Consulting Engineers is recruiting a Civil Engineer or Technologist for their office in East London.

Planning, design and contract administration of civil engineering projects from inception to completion.

Preparation of tender documents.

Preparation of reports (Project Inception, Concept and Viability, Design, tender evaluation, progress, financial, close-out, etc).

Day-to-day contract administration and management of civil engineering projects.

Handling of technical queries and resolutions and leading Site and Technical Meetings on site, including the taking of minutes.

Financial control of construction contracts.

Communicate frequently with all professionals and clients.

Handling of technical queries and dispute resolutions in conjunction with others.

Assist with project safety and environmental matters during construction.

General office and project related admin.

Requirements

For Civil Engineer:
At least a bachelor's degree in civil engineering.

At least 3 years' verifiable post graduate experience in the planning, design and contract administration of civil engineering and building projects from inception to completion.

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Office Project.

Proficient with AutoCAD Civil3D.

Experience in the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) software, in particular ACC will be advantageous.

Own Vehicle.

Valid Driver's License.

For Professional Engineer or Technologist:
At least a bachelor's degree in civil engineering with emphasis on structural engineering.

Registration with ECSA as a Candidate Professional Engineer or Professional Engineering Technologist and working towards professional registration.

At least 5 years' verifiable post-graduate experience in the planning, design and contract administration of building and engineering projects from inception to completion.

Experience in the design of bulk water, water treatment works, stormwater management and water retaining structures will be advantageous.

Sound understanding of design engineering codes and technical standards.

Proficient in the use of Master Series or Prokon, Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Office Project.

Experience in the use of Building Information Modelling (BIM) software, in particular ACC Docs and ACC Build and Revit, will be advantageous.

Must take ownership of projects.

Must be an effective communicator (personal, phone, writing, email; etc).

Own Vehicle.

Valid Driver's Licence.
