    Description


    INTRODUCTIONThis position is set aside for a person with a disability according to the Ability One contract guidelinesProof of disability is required before interviewingThis position requires that the employee must successfully complete criminal history information background check, drug screening and be able to obtain/maintain a government security clearanceThis position is located in Washington, DCThe core working hours are 12:00 pm - 9:00 pm, Monday through FridayThe hourly pay is $18.91 per hourThis site is governed by a collective bargaining agreementThis position requires that the employee must successfully complete criminal history information background check and be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearanceKEY RESPONSIBILITIESSweep and mop hallways, stairs, and officesEmpty wastebaskets and dispose of the trash in the prescribed mannerDust horizontal surfacesEmpty and wash ashtraysClean bathroomsClean glass and windowsWash walls and other vertical surfacesSweep and clear snow from outside steps and sidewalksPolish kick panels, doorknobs, and other designated fixturesVacuum rugsMix cleaning solutionsMaintain issued equipmentNotify supervisor when supplies and equipment are needed to perform tasksAll other duties are assigned by Custodial Foreman.

    PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONSThe incumbent must be able to stand 80% of the work time, walk 15%, and sit 5%He/She must be able to lift/carry 50 pounds and push/pull 50 pounds in order to clean work areas and handle supplies and equipmentMust be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and handleAll of these requirements are necessary for using ladders and stairs, cleaning low areas, high areas, benches, and cornersMust be able to communicate with supervisors and co-workersMust be able to see, have depth perception, and tell colors for safety reasons and to distinguish between chemicals.
