Job DescriptionJob Title: Software Engineer Job ID: CS Location: Long Beach, CA Overview:Our client is looking for an experienced Software Developer to join their team in building solutions for their in-house built, internal and customer facing tools. The ideal candidate will be a technologist who is highly motivated and has a track record of building software using web technologies. The Software Developer position requires understanding business needs and translating them effectively into applications either individually or as part of a team. They are self-motivated, work well with others and are always learning. What you will be doing:

Gather and document business requirements and develop conceptual and technical designs for multiple projects concurrently
Translate user requirements into overall solution architecture for technical solutions
Develop solutions in Java Spring and Angular web applications
Work both independently and with project teams to analyze project requirements and develop project plans to execute on
Author and maintain documentation and unit tests
Perform problem analysis to resolve application issues. Perform diagnosis of problems, provide solutions and coordinate implementation of fixes and enhancements
Coordinate and provide guidance and support to off-shore development team members
Build strong partnerships with other engineers, QA, product and operations teams

What you must have:

Minimum 3 years of experience in software development
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
Strong experience with Java and building and consuming REST APIs
Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Relational Databases
Strong interpersonal skills and strong communications skills
Solid knowledge of web communication architectures, technologies and protocols
Basic understanding of Linux-based operating systems
Excellent debugging and optimization skills

Nice to have:

Experience with Java Spring Boot
Experience with Oracle PL/SQL
Experience in database performance tuning
Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React, Vue, etc.)
Experience with native mobile development
Experience with Web UI and Web UX design
Experience coordinating with off-shore teams
