    Job Description


    The Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit cares for patients recovering from cardiovascular surgeries and vascular procedures. The nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients who have undergone open heart surgery, thoracic lung surgery, and vascular surgeries while also managing overflow medical cardiology patients.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage patients recovering from cardiovascular and vascular surgeries.
    • Administer medications and manage IV infusions.
    • Perform assessments and provide patient education.
    • Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient care.

    Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

    • Must have stepdown and telemetry experience.
    • Preferred experience with CV surgery and vascular surgery populations within the past year.
    • ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
