    What You Will Do:
    As the

    Manager, Logistics,


    you will oversee and direct the operations of our European Equipment Processing Center (EEPC) across four locations and three product groups.

    In this role, you will be responsible for leading and optimizing various functions including Order Management, Customer Service, Supply, Scheduling, Production, and Quality functions for a growing number of Prime products (Machines and work tools) processed.

    Job duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
    Provide strategic leadership and direction to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the US Equipment Processing Center (EPC).

    Oversee and manage the daily operations of six EPC locations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives, prioritizing safety, and compliance.

    Lead a diverse team across multiple functions, fostering a culture of LEAN, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
    Drive operational excellence by implementing best practices, process improvements, and efficiency initiatives to drive an engineered end-to-end value chain.
    Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments such as Sales, Engineering, and Logistics to streamline operations and enhance customer satisfaction.
    Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and business partners including customers, suppliers, and internal teams.

    Monitor and analyze performance metrics (PQVC) to identify for areas of improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and compliance.

    Manager third-party logistics (3PL) partners and ensure laser performance focus to meet operational targets.
    Work closely with internal customers (EXD, EMD, BCP, PSB) to understand their requirements and align operational processes accordingly.
    Ensure strict compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
    Other duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time-to-time.


    What You Have:

    Inventory Management:
    Knowledge of processes and methods of inventory management; ability to effectively manage organization's materials, commodities, merchandises, or products. Coordinates daily work of inventory management for different locations within a facility or a supply network. Devises standard inventory management benchmarks to improve the processes. Ensures that the inventory is at an appropriate level and meets both internal and external requirements. Provides guidance on inventory management for a specific product group or location. Applies systems and processes to identify and coordinate inventory requirements; resolves conflicts. Reviews reports used for inventory management to find out related problems.

    Logistics Management:


    Knowledge of the processes, tools, and operational considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods and materials; ability to understand, predict and control the movement of goods, materials, and supplies.

    Develops and analyzes logistics plans that affect production, distribution, and inventory. Manages logistics processes through process improvement, prioritization, and project planning.

    Implements and maintains monitoring systems to provide information on shipment status, shipped date, in transit location, estimated arrival date, and actual delivery date.

    Works with historical, legislative, and practical issues associated with domestic freight. Participates in contract negotiations and interfaces with selected carriers necessary to maintain expected levels of service. Consults on all major logistics processes, their interactions, and operational requirements.

    Supply Chain Management:


    Knowledge of functions, principles and techniques used in supply chain management; ability to develop and implement strategies, practices, and tools for controlling the whole processes.

    Recognizes software systems or components used to manage supply chain. Participates in supply chain analysis and uses it to spot trends and improvement opportunities. Discusses considerations for integrating partner and supplier transactions. Summarizes supply chain considerations for different types of products. Works with a specific part of supply chain management process.

    What Will Set You Apart:
    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field.
    Previous leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve high performance.
    Previous experience working in a matrix organization.
    Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites and ERP systems.
    Previous experience with MACH 1.
