Production Supervisor

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for managing and providing direction to production personnel in the accomplishment of key metrics in the areas of safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

KEY FUNCTIONS

• Oversee and coach team members

• Ensure that all safety procedures and policies are followed

• Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and other methods

• Identify issues of efficiency and suggest improvements

• Provide hands-on support and training

• Clearly communicate job expectations to team members

• Enforce policies and procedures through the use of coaching and disciplinary procedures

• Ensure that finished products are completed to product quality standards

• Ensure the availability of raw materials to the production processes

• Ensure adherence to all company rules and policies

• Provide motivation and leadership to team personnel

• Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency

• Train new team members on how to perform safely and how to properly perform job duties.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma; Advanced training preferred

• Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role

• Organizational and leadership abilities

• Written and oral communication skills

• Must be self-motivated with a strong background in problem solving skills

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Willingness to learn and work to the best of his/her abilities as well as dependable work ethic

• Must have reliable transportation and the ability to be at work on time for long shifts and be able to work 6 days a week during peak periods.

• Must pass a criminal background check for the position.
