- Identifying deficiencies in mechanical processes and developing improvements
- Designing and developing prototypes
- Analyzing and testing prototypes and each revision of a device
- Developing, initiating and managing all phases of projects
- Preparing documentation of critical analysis and providing suggestions for correcting errors
- Collaborating with Project Managers for proper allocation and tracking of resource
- Applies electrical engineering theory and the operation of electronic test equipment to design & functionally test and troubleshoot Electrical systems/Printed Circuit Boards or systems
- Support production team tasked with assembly, calibration and testing of electronic test equipment
- Diagnose and repair soldering issues
- Train new employees on through-hole and surface mounted soldering and soldering repair
- Other duties may be assigned
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering technology, or related discipline
- Prior internship or co-op experience in related Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering activities.
- Knowledge of manufacturing practices and work measurement methodologies, Industrial Engineering analytical techniques
- Experience in using Lean-manufacturing tools and other continuous improvement methods is required.
- One - three years of electronic design prototyping and/or repair experience
- Ability to design and build electronic test equipment, programmers and manufacturing aids
- Strong computer and software skills and troubleshooting ability
- Strong background in Electrical Engineering principles
- Knowledge of Analog/Digital Circuit Design (Instrumentation/Test & Measurement), Microcontrollers, Programmable logic devices (CPLD), electronic test equipment
- Position based on site

- Three or more years of experience in related Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering activities
- Experience in electrical systems or a related environment
- Six Sigma training
- Knowledge of ergonomics, safety analysis, business intelligence, ISO, and SPC
