- You will prepare and conduct all major project contract negotiations, considering all facts and circumstances surrounding the particular procurement.
- You will negotiate a contract for each procurement tailored to obtain the required weapons systems at the time required.
- You will coordinate and determine the part which NAVAIR engineering, production, statistical, legal, and logistical personnel, auditors and field representatives are to play in the data and negotiations.
- You will serve as a liaison with Administrative Contracting Officers (ACO) and Technical representatives who participate in the administration of contracts under the incumbent's jurisdiction.

Position Description
This Contract Specialist position is located in the F-35 Joint Program Office, Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) in Arlington, VA. The position supports cradle to grave contracting requirements for the F-35 program. This includes the design, development, procurement, operation, and maintenance of F-35 aircraft, F135 engines, and associated equipment to support the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, international partner nations, and multiple Foreign Military Sales customers.
