Job Summary


The Post-Acute Business Development Liaison is primarily responsible for increasing market share by successfully fulfilling referral development goals, building relationships with hospitals, skilled nursing care centers, physician offices, home health agencies, and assisted living facilities for the Inpatient Rehabilitation or Skilled Nursing Facility programs.

The Liaison will also be responsible for ongoing assessments of targeted markets, as well as educating the community, physician's office staff, case managers, social workers and insurance carriers about programs and services offered by Sarasota Memorial Health Care System's Post-Acute Services.

The Liaison will also play a major role in maintaining and strengthening current relationships with physicians, office staff, case managers, and area hospitals as well as forming new relationships.

Required Qualifications

Require Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) within one (1) year of hire/transfer date. - Require Uniformed Data Systems (UDS) Certified Admissions Liaison or Skilled Nursing Facility Administrator license.
Require a bachelor's degree in marketing or a health care-related field of study, master's preferred.

Require a minimum of five (5) years of admissions, business development, and/or operations experience in a post-acute services, inpatient rehabilitation, or skilled nursing facility setting.

Preferred Qualifications


Prefer demonstrated proficiency using commonly used applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), as well as electronic medical records.

Prefer previous experience in healthcare marketing/physician referral development.
Prefer demonstrated organization, communication, and presentation skills.
Prefer demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
Prefer demonstrated knowledge in insurance coverage and various covered days by CMS requirements for the designated program represented.
Prefer Certified Admissions Liaison (CAL) or Certified Nursing Home Administrator (CNHA) certifications.
