- Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
- Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
- Experience with Aerospace Propulsion Systems a MUST.
- Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
- Provide support to the management and execution of technical tasks, prepare contract deliverables, support meetings with the Government, and where possible attend and observe test events – including all associated travel.
- Support the following technical activities and provide SETA support:
- Planning for advanced sensor concepts, architectures, definitions, interpretation of customer requirements, and development of software capabilities
- Modeling and Simulation support to characterization and R&D activities;
- Scheduling, planning, and de-confliction of test and characterization activities;
- Assessment of applicability of various capabilities and systems to upcoming system characterization activities and integration of capabilities
- Based on the modeling and simulation results, provide recommendations on the types of sensors to be used, backed by analytic evidence to support their selection.
- A PhD and 15 years of experience, or a MA/MS and 18 years, or a BA/BS and 20 years.
- Degree must be in Systems Engineering or related disciplines.
- Recognition within a discipline relevant to the work (includes Federal, national or internationally recognized professional organization or academia, and/or relevant publications in reputable medium).
- Active TS/SCI Clearance is required; CI Polygraph may be required.
- Must be able to work in an office environment at a desk and computer.
- May travel ~10% to conferences, program reviews, industry meetings, or other collaborative events. Most or all travel would be CONUS.
