We are building a premium European children's tech brand (KidsPhone) and are looking for a Senior E-Commerce Visual Art Director to create high-end lifestyle hero visuals for our webshop (Shopware 6.7).
We expect strong visual art direction, premium aesthetics, and conversion-oriented composition.
Our target market is DACH (Switzerland, Germany and Austria).
The visuals must communicate trust, safety, quality, and emotional warmth — primarily addressing parents, not children.
Scope of Work
Creation of premium lifestyle visuals including:
- 2–3 full-width homepage hero banners
- 4–6 additional lifestyle images for landing pages
- Strong but natural product integration
- Clear emotional storytelling
The visual language must reflect European premium aesthetics — natural, calm, and trustworthy.
We are not looking for loud, hyper-commercial, or over-stylized imagery.
The atmosphere should feel:
- Natural and authentic
- Warm but not oversaturated
- Minimal and clean
- Emotionally subtle, not exaggerated
- Trust-building for parents
Children should appear:
- Calm, confident, and focused
- Naturally smiling (no exaggerated expressions)
- In realistic home environments
- Often with subtle parental presence or supervision
Technical Requirements (Shopware 6.7 – Responsive Critical)
We use Shopware 6.7 "Erlebniswelten" with full-width responsive containers
(Theme:
Themeware)
Hero format:
- 1920 x 800 px
Safe-Zone Requirement:
All essential elements (child's face, product, emotional focal point) must be positioned within a centered safe area.
The left and right edges may be cropped on smaller screens.
Important:
No key elements may be placed near the extreme borders.
The composition must remain balanced and clear on mobile devices.
Please leave sufficient negative space for optional text overlays.
Quality Standard
- No generic stock-photo appearance
- No visible AI artefacts
- Correct anatomy (hands, fingers, proportions)
- Realistic skin tones
- Professional retouching
- Webshop-ready final assets
Short Concept Requirement (Application Filter)
To be considered, please include:
Three webshop hero banners you created
A short explanation of how you handle responsive safe-zone composition
A brief concept (5–8 sentences) describing your visual approach for KidsPhone and the DACH market
Applications without relevant E-Commerce hero examples and a tailored concept will not be considered.
This project may evolve into a long-term creative collaboration if quality and vision align.
Contract duration of 1 to 3 months.
Languages:
German. You are expected to have a fluent level of English.
