    Description


    The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end-users, resolving computer-related issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems, software, and hardware.

    This role will also involve user management across systems, Microsoft 365 administration, SharePoint administration, and asset management.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    Provide technical support and assistance to end-users via various communication channels, including in-person, phone, email, or remote tools

    Provides status and completion updates to end-users via phones, e-mail or in-person communication

    Ensure that employees' work stations can successfully connect to networks and provides initial training in facilities and applications.

    Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely and efficient manner

    Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software applications, and peripherals

    Assist with network installations, including firewalls, routers, switches, and access points

    Perform Microsoft 365 administration tasks, including user account management, security configurations, and license management

    Administer SharePoint sites, including user access, permissions, and content management

    Ensure accurate user management across systems, including account creation, modification, and termination

    Manage the asset inventory of technology items, including computers, laptops, tablets, and other hardware

    Assist in maintaining camera systems and other security-related equipment

    Determines, escalates, and works to correct major technology issues with help desk or 3rd party vendors

    Collaborate with vendors and assist with research and procurement of technology equipment and software

    Provide hands-on support and administration for operation-driven technology systems, ensuring operational efficiency

    Participate in continuing education courses/training to assist or enhance the customization and adaptation of existing programs to meet user's requirements

    Required Skills

    Must be detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills

    Must be flexible to changes in assignments to assist the department in accomplishing shared objectives and goals

    Must have ability to communicate with employees and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner

    Must have the ability to work independently and in a team environment to accomplish shared objectives and goals

    Must have ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion with sensitive business and employee information.

    Must be willing to travel

    Must be able to lift 60 lbs. and handle physical demanding work

    Must pass a Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol screening and participate in random testing pool

    Must pass a background check and motor vehicle record check

    Must maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record to drive a company vehicle, when necessary

    Must have reliable transportation to and from work

    Work Environment

    This job operates within a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. This position may require occasional evening and weekend and on-call work as job duties demand.

    Licenses & Certifications

    Valid Driver's License

    Education & Experience

    Associate or Bacherlor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field

    1-2 years of previous information technology, preferred
