- Proficiency in diagnosing and replacing major components of wind turbines.
- Familiarity with various turbine models, including GE, Siemens, Vestas, and Nordex.
- Technical knowledge in hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Detailed understanding of generators, converters, controllers, and electrical equipment.
- Ability to recognize potential issues and faults.
- Minimum 3-5+ years' experience as a Wind Turbine Technician, with significant MCE expertise.
- Citizenship or eligibility to work in Canada for extended periods, with a valid passport.
- Ability to work an 8-week on, 1 week off rotation.
- Physical ability to safely climb wind turbines up to 90m+, with standing, stooping, walking, crawling, and other physical demands met.
- Valid driving license with a satisfactory record and must be 21 years old to drive company vehicles.
- Proficient reading, writing, and speaking skills in English.
- Ability to support wind farm projects by traveling to sites in the U.S. and Canada.
- Satisfactory criminal background check.
- GWO BST certification: fire awareness, working at heights, manual handling, first aid.
- GWO BTT certification: electrical, hydraulic, mechanical.
- SGRE Basic Technician Training.
- OSHA 10 General Industry certification.
