    Description

    Position Overview:
    We are currently seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Engineer with electrical testing experience to join our team.

    The ideal candidate will have NETA certification (preferred) and hands-on experience in commissioning and testing electrical systems, including switchgear, transformers, relays, circuit breakers, and protective devices.

    The Commissioning Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the performance, reliability, and safety of electrical infrastructure for our clients.


    Key Responsibilities:


    Perform commissioning activities for electrical systems, including conducting pre-functional and functional testing, verifying equipment installation and wiring, and documenting test results.

    Conduct electrical testing, troubleshooting, and diagnostics on switchgear, transformers, relays, circuit breakers, and other electrical equipment.

    Coordinate with project managers, engineers, technicians, and subcontractors to ensure timely completion of commissioning activities and adherence to project schedules.

    Develop commissioning plans, procedures, and reports in accordance with industry standards and client requirements.
    Provide technical support and guidance to clients, contractors, and project teams regarding electrical commissioning and testing processes.
    Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations, such as NETA, NFPA, IEEE, and NEC.
    Participate in site meetings, project reviews, and customer presentations to communicate project status, issues, and recommendations.
    Stay current with industry developments, best practices, and emerging technologies related to electrical commissioning and testing.

    Preferred - Not Required
    Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
    NETA certification preferred.
    Experience in commissioning and testing electrical systems.
    Proficiency in electrical testing equipment and software, such as Doble, Omicron, and Megger.
    Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards, including NEC, NETA ATS, and IEEE.

    Commissioning Engineer team is responsible for performing final testing, startup, and commissioning of electrical, mechanical, industrial controls, SCADA and building automation as well as other apparatus both in the field and in a manufacturing environment.
