    Job Summary:

    The Advanced Bike Mechanic is responsible for assembling bikes, completing repair diagnosis and performing downhill bike repairs as needed. Provide customers with the highest level of service and recommend products to enhance the customer's cycling experience. Join us in providing our guests an Experience of a Lifetime

    Job Specifications:

    • Expected Pay Range: $ $26.37 / hour
    • Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time, Year Round
    • Skill Level: Advanced

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for oversight of Bike Repair Shop. Also functions as a rental technician and retail cashier.
    • Responsible for opening and/or closing procedures.
    • Participates in daily AM or PM meetings.
    • Responsible for inventory control of shop.
    • Prepare purchase requests for department manager.
    • Processes paperwork and reports as required.
    • Helps conduct or provides input for employee performance evaluations.
    • Assists in shift changeover.
    • Assist in maintaining security of equipment, product and supplies.
    • Maintains MSDS and other safety information for shop.
    • Ensures that routine maintenance is properly completed.
    • Other duties or projects as requested by department manager or divisional manager.
    • It is the responsibility of the Advanced Associate Mechanic to consistently follow service guidelines and all operating procedures regarding the rental, lesson, and ticket/ pass sales processes.
    • Advanced Associate Mechanics are also responsible for properly selecting, inspecting, adjusting, and dispatching gear (Bikes, helmets, pads), completing rental agreements and Releases of Liability while following shop and manufacturers' policies and procedures.
    • Advanced Associate Mechanics may also be responsible for collecting fees for use of products or services, accounting of funds for transactions, daily cash out, and proper completion of all paperwork associated with the operation of the facility.
    • Advanced Associate Mechanics will be asked to take part in daily meetings, daily equipment maintenance, daily shop upkeep and maintenance, data entry, special projects, inventory, locating lost/missing equipment and training programs. Other duties may be assigned

    • Be knowledgeable about the resort, Bike Shop, products and services available, and the equipment you are providing for the guest.

    • Communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and managers effectively regarding personal/work issues.
    • Able to work unsupervised in a manner that is professional and consistent with department policy and procedure.
    • Detail oriented, ensuring that all steps are taken to ensure the safety of the guest by properly completing and handling paperwork and equipment.
    • Ensure that duties/projects/tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Possess the ability to use good judgment when dealing with customer service situations and scenarios that are not clearly defined by department policy and procedure.
    • Respond enthusiastically when asked to help out in other areas.

    Job Qualifications:

    • Must possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
    • Must possess the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
    • Must possess the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral, written, or verbal form.
    • Advanced Associate Mechanic Must have a general knowledge of department's offerings (gear, tickets, lift, lesson, rental programs) and resort (restrooms, drinking fountains, restaurants, administration offices, Hogsback chairlift, tool benches).
    • Must know where to find safety information, SOP's, and general guest information.
    • Must know how to properly complete paperwork associated with all aspects of the Bike Shop.
    • Must meet or exceed qualifications of Asociate Mechanic.
    • Minimum 3 years experience in a professional bike shop.
    • Extensive knowledge of current downhill bicycle technology, repair and service.
    • Participte in development and implimentation of staff training inclucing rental technicians and mechanics.

    Physical Demands and Work Environment:

    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to use hand tools, type, reach with hands or arms; and talk and hear.
    • The employee is frequently required to walk, bend, or kneel.
    • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
    • The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.

    The expected pay range is $ $26.37. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
