    Description

    SUMMARY: The Maintenance Manager is responsible for planning, leading, and managing the daily activities of the Maintenance department in support of the site operations. The role will manage the maintenance program, set, and monitor goals, lead inspections, and implement corrective actions. The Maintenance Manager is a critical part of the site leadership team and works collaboratively with other functional departments to ensure adherence to the site Process Safety Management (PSM), production, reliability, and other goals.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Supervise, plan, and direct daily maintenance activities.

    • Supervise and train maintenance personnel in the safe and proper maintenance of all equipment in the facility.

    Own and utilize designated work order programs to schedule and assign work orders and routine preventative work. Maintain proper documentation of maintenance activities as required.

    • Ensure monitoring and prescribed checks of all operating equipment are carried out as required for proper operation.
    • Coordinate with operations, engineering, and reliability groups to minimize downtime during unplanned outages.
    • Collaborate with site leadership and corporate HSE to ensure plant compliance with OSHA PSM and company safety policies, procedures, and practices.
    • Assist in executing planned inspection recommendations of plant process equipment as recommended by the engineering and reliability groups. Take necessary action to correct inspection findings. Maintain proper inspection records.
    • Collaborate with site leadership to support and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS), Operating Policy, and American Piping Institute (API) compliance, among other compliance standards and regulatory agencies.
    • Supervise maintenance and warehouse employees under the direction of the Plant Manager. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

    • 5+ years related experience in a refinery or chemical manufacturing required; bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • 3+ years' experience in a supervisory role preferred.
    • Ability to read and understand PFD's and P&ID's.
    • Ability to troubleshoot and understand Root Cause Failure Analysis.
    • PSM experience preferred.
    • Ability to motivate, direct, and communicate with professional (technical), production, and crafts personnel.
    • Advanced problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from plant personnel, regulators, and consultants.
