    Description
    A growing Multi-Strategy Hedge Fund is looking for a Junior SQL Database Administrator to join their team.

    *Paying up to $250,000 TC
    • Responsibilities:
    • Provide direct support to Production, UAT, QA, and Development databases.
    • Database checks on health, performance, and security.
    • Database maintenance: patching, backup, restore, and recovery.
    -write DB scripts to optimize processes and infrastructure.


    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or equivalent education
    -3+ years of experience in a database administrator or engineer role

    • Proficiency in MS SQL Server database management on prem and on cloud (Azure and/or AWS)
    It would also be great if you have

    • Exposure to roles within the financial sector (Hedge funds and Trade firms preferred)
    • Exposure to other SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL or MariaDB)
    • Familiarity with Python and Java
    • Experience in a git based change management workflow
    • Knowledge and experience with database management automation
