    This excellent job opportunity is for individuals looking to join our Digital Services and Analytics team as a Web Software Developer.

    Responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and managing complex websites for divisions of the university. Writes content, designs layout, and integrates graphic design.

    Also coordinates with UTD Web Services staff to ensure web design that fits into the overall UTD web policies, style, and technology.


    The ideal candidate should also have:

    • Professional web design experience with a solid understanding of graphic design.
    • Knowledge remediating browser compatibility issues.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines

    Minimum Qualifications:


    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering, Information Systems, Arts and Technology or related field; two years experience in Web application software development; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


    Preferred Education and Experience:

    • Master1s in Computer Science
    • 2-3 years of experience with front-end web development using HTML5, CSS3, jQuery and JavaScript
    • 2-3 years of experience in developing web applications using PHP and MySQL
    • At least 1 year of experience with WordPress or any other PHP based CMS
    • Solid understanding of database design/implementation and managing MySQL databases
    • Experience in Android application development
    • Experience in Responsive web design
    • Knowledge remediating browser compatibility issues
