Where And How You Can Work
Canva has its roots in Australia with our flagship campus in Sydney. We also have a growing presence in the US, with offices in San Francisco, CA and Austin, TX.

Our preference is for the role to be based near the San Francisco or Austin offices. However, we will consider remote applicants within the US with a preference for California and Washington.

About The Team
Finance at Canva is on an exciting journey - scaling the foundations that support a rapidly growing global company, while making our processes smarter, simpler, and more empowering for our teams. The Finance Transformation team sits at the heart of this mission.

We're looking for a Finance Transformation Senior Manager who's passionate about solving complex problems, improving processes end-to-end, and helping teams work more efficiently through technology, automation, and AI-enabled solutions. You'll work cross-functionally across Finance, along with Finance Systems, Finance Data and the broader business, helping shape and execute Canva's finance transformation projects — with a focus on process reengineering, driving simplification, automation and AI-driven solutions. You'll help share the future of how Finance works at Canva.

What You'll Do

• Lead Finance Process Transformation: Identify, design, and deliver scalable improvements across key global finance processes (Revenue, Billing, Payables, Reporting, etc.), balancing innovation with strong control and compliance. Help embed AI-enabled ways of working, drive adoption and education, help teams identify problems and expected outcomes - focusing on efficiency, accuracy, repeatability, and standardisation.
• Project, Program and Change Management: Lead transformation programs of varying scale, ensuring cross-functional stakeholder alignment, governance, and smooth change adoption across teams. Coordinate project activities, dependencies, and timelines to ensure alignment between teams.Help unblock, remove ambiguity, and support smooth project execution.
• Drive Technology Enablement: Partner with Finance Systems, Data, and Engineering teams to implement automation, system integrations, and AI-based solutions that streamline end-to-end workflows.
• Help shape the Transformation Roadmap: Collaborating with finance and business leaders to define the strategic direction for the Finance Technology stack and transformation priorities.
• Data, Insight & Automation: Champion data-driven decision-making - ensuring finance data is leveraged effectively for reporting, analytics, and automation.

What We're Looking For

• Significant experience in Finance Transformation, or Process Improvement roles (experience in fast-scaling tech, SaaS, or global environments strongly preferred).
• A background in Finance with a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is a big plus.
• Experience with driving process redesign. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to break down ambiguity into actionable steps.
• Familiarity with finance ERP, billing and reporting systems (e.g., Workday, Netsuite, Zuora, Salesforce, Anaplan) and an understanding of data and automation and AI platforms.
• Proven ability to lead large scale transformation programs end-to-end from strategy and design to implementation and embedding.
• A balance of big-picture vision and detail orientation, with a strong understanding of finance processes and data flows.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; able to work cross-functionally without effort, translating between finance, technical and business teams.
• Growth mindset. Passion for continuous improvement and leveraging new technologies (AI, automation, analytics) to elevate finance impact and scale finance operations.

We'd Love It If You Have

• Familiarity with Agile, Lean, or continuous improvement approaches.

We're a small new team that is just getting started, so you aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves, get into the detail. Able to determine and play whatever role is needed to make projects a success: analyst, project coordinator, facilitator, tester, or change champion.

The target salary range for this position is $169,000-$237,000. When calculating offers, we make salary decisions based on market data and candidates' skills and experience.
