Synchron, LLC has an exciting opportunity for an Audio Visual (AV) Engineer & AMX Programmer to support NAVSEA's Chief Information Office at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC We are seeking candidates to provide the US Navy with excellent technology customer service supportYou will provide direct technology support to the Navy's CIO Office
Duties & Responsibilities:
Apply the current infrastructure expertise in supporting video teleconferencing (VTC) and collaborative Audiovisual (AV) efforts using Microsoft Teams.
Support VTC and AV with cabling, equipment installations, and configuration, supporting pulling and running cables for new equipment installation.
Interpret blueprints, installation instructions, or various user guides to install and configure a new VTC and AV environment.
Provide customer insight into their network through monitoring and performance management
Use technical expertise to identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in mission-critical network.
Provide customer support for highly visible VTC and AV operations and troubleshooting efforts.
Ensure the customer's events are monitored and resolve conference interruptions as soon as possible.
Troubleshoot and repair multimedia equipment and data cabling, including ceiling-mounted video projectors, wall control switches, cable patch panels, speakers, powered screens, consoles, and multimedia equipment.
Required Qualifications:
2+ years experience with VTC and Audiovisual Systems, including Camera Recording
Fluent with AMX programming
Experience with Cisco and Polycom IP VTC systems endpoints, AMX, Extron, Crestron, or Cisco control systems and switches programming
Experience and knowledgeable on troubleshooting common VTC equipment and collaborative AV efforts such as MS Teams, Cisco Room kits, and Tandberg's.
HS diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
