Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineer will support the re-manufacturing lines by identifying and recommending solutions to production problems related to materials, processes, and tooling

Duties/Responsibilities:

Support re-manufacturing product lines by tracking first time yield, scrap rates, bill of material costs, and cycle time to identify areas of improvementIdentify opportunities to reduce material cost on product through modern re-manufacturing processesDesign and develop new equipment and processes for material reclaimReview production program equipment, hardware, and tooling; make recommendations for repairs or replacement.

Install new equipment and ensure that it operates correctly; train others to operate new machinery.
Identify critical characteristics and implement production controls when necessary.
Prepare operations manuals and work instructions for new or existing equipment.

Maintain knowledge of new and developing manufacturing technology, equipment, and applications; apply this knowledge to recommend and implement new technology and processes.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess problems or issues with manufacturing equipment and product linesExtensive knowledge of production principles and techniques, specifically:Control plans, process/product FMEA'sConstraint theory, lean manufacturingBill of Material and labor cost optimizationProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Proficient with computer-aided drafting software (SolidWorks).

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field requiredMinimum of 5 years' experience as a manufacturing engineer requiredRe-manufacturing and material reclaim technology experience is preferred
