Role Overview
The Sales Development Manager leads the recruiting input, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management of Certified Managed Agents (CMAs) and Consolidator preneed agents across Central Texas.
The SDM builds systems that reward results—not activity—removes barriers to performance, and strengthens collaboration between sales and operations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide input on CMA hiring, talent quality, and workforce planning.
Lead onboarding and in-field training for all CMAs and Consolidator agents.
Conduct weekly team huddles and one-on-one coaching.
Coach to appointments, close rate, production, and pipeline discipline.
Complete quarterly in-person visits with each Consolidator CMA.
Manage agents to defined KPIs, implementing improvement plans or personnel changes when needed.

Faster transition from recruiting to active selling and reduced reload time.
Stronger training, accountability, and in-market coaching culture.
Improved alignment between funeral homes and sales teams.
Measurable growth in:
Average contract value
Sales per location
Total Consolidator preneed production
A team of high-performing, results-driven agents supported by outcome-based systems.
Qualifications
Required
Residence in or relocation to Central Texas.
Proven ability to coach, train, and hold sales professionals accountable to metrics.
Willingness to travel for field leadership and quarterly visits.
Strong communication, virtual leadership, and CRM performance management skills.
Preferred
Experience in preneed sales, funeral-home distribution, or insurance sales leadership, or a proven record of building high-performing sales teams through disciplined hiring, obstacle removal, and results-based incentives.
