    We are looking for a Project Manager to focus on our Community Solar portfolio.

    This person is organized and detail oriented, loves to make chaotic situations run smoothly, understands the value of strong processes and will enthusiastically familiarize oneself with our software systems to create and then manage a seamless, efficient, and highly organized project onboarding process.

    This person is passionate about the type of work Generate is doing, looking to apply their experience to help scale a growing business and drive critical internal process efficiencies and initiatives.

    This person can juggle - and juggle well - managing a variety of stakeholders and projects simultaneously while providing the highest standards of performance.

    What you'll be doing at Generate Capital as a Project Manager:
    Participate in EPC selection and contract negotiation.

    Act as the Owner's Representative by managing EPC firms and engaging with developers, consultants, engineers, and other project stakeholdersUnderstand site-specific design details and support/manage engineering review and energy model developmentManage all aspects of the EPC agreement, including official notices, change orders, RFIs, pay applications, construction status updates, safety, milestone achievement, certificates, commissioning, etc.

    Tightly manage project-level budgets and milestone payments, which includes internal reporting and forecastingEnsure project quality control by coordinating on-site inspections, coordinating with 3rd party providers if necessary.

    Attend project progress meetingsAct as the internal subject matter expert on all aspects of projects.

    Identify, track, manage, and report on project risksUpdate internal data systems and ensure all project-level documentation is accurateCoordinate after-action reviews/lessons learned/continuous improvementAssist with the development of internal operating policies, standards, and procedures.

    Communicate project progress, risks, and issues both internally and externallyManage relationships with all stakeholdersEnsure compliance with company safety programEnsure appropriate closeout of projects and handover to Generate Asset Management TeamCandidate qualifications & core characteristics:

    A demonstrated passion for, or commitment to, our mission5+ years' experience in construction project management, with significant exposure to commercial and utility solar PV projects preferred.

    A 4-year degree or equivalent work experience and certificationsExceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and follow-throughStrong written and oral communicator capable of 'code switching' to meet the needs of a given situationSome knowledge of GAAP project accounting and basic finance concepts is preferredProficient in the Microsoft Office suite.

    Prior exposure to Salesforce or other CRM helpful.

    Relevant training and certifications such as prior/current trade licensure, OSHA10/30, NABCEP, PMP are preferredAbility to manage multiple objectives simultaneously and prioritize appropriatelyStrong familiarity with construction and electrical codesStrong analytical skillsExpertise in EPC contract negotiationsAbility to read and interpret technical drawing setsUnimpeachable integrity and glowing referencesOutstanding communication and interpersonal skills, including empathy, intuition, and listening as well as strong writing, editing, and basic design skills.

    High level of self-awareness and humility, with excitement about confronting uncomfortable situations or new challengesIntellectual agility, curiosity, and creativity; problem-solving is your default modeEntrepreneurial spirit: flexibility, comfort with risk, recognition that 'perfect can be the enemy of the good'Generate's compensation packages are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

    Salary decisions take into account a wide variety of factors including, but not limited to:
    skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, geographic location, and other business and organizational needs.

    A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $125,000 - $137,000 In addition, the compensation package may include a discretionary bonus and other benefits, including health care benefits, retirement benefits, benefits permitting paid days off (including sick leave, parental leave, and paid time off or vacation benefits), and other benefits that must be reported for federal tax purposes.

    It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of this range.
