    Job DescriptionAres is looking for an Analyst to join the Los Angeles Investment Operations team.

    The Investment Operations team works closely with business stakeholders in three lines of business (Credit, Private Equity and Real Estate) as well as various corporate functions.

    This position will be part of the account transitions group which is responsible for opening and closing custody/related accounts and setting up or shutting down trading and reporting portfolios in our internal systems.

    The account transitions team works to ensure the timely opening/closing and accuracy of these accounts and trading portfolios launched simultaneously across many funds, strategies, and lines of business.

    This position will work closely with many other parts of the firm including front office (PMs/traders/IR), Fund Accounting, Compliance, and Legal teams as well as clients and service providers, including 3rd party custodians and administrators, to ensure bank accounts and related agreements are opened in a timely manner.

    Expect to assist with development and implementation of new systems, workflow approaches and methods, as well as current system enhancements, to ensure efficiency while increasing capabilities.


    Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
    OnboardingInvolvement throughout the full onboarding spectrum of fund & account launches, along with custody/account transitions as wellWork closely with third party service providers to onboard related custody/bank/trading agreements under strict deadlines and transition new and changing custodian and client relationshipsMaintain and co-own fund-related information on our data warehouseReconcile fund-related information between our systems and resolve breaks on a timely basisAssist with system implementations and upgrades; new workflows and processesWork in a team environment to contribute to the development and implementation of the group's overall goalsWork with other groups to assess reporting needs, and assist in development required ad-hoc reportsTransitionsWork closely with many teams internally and third party service providers to transition new and changing custodian and client relationships, under strict deadlinesEducation:Bachelor's degree in Finance or other business related discipline

    Experience Required:
    Relevant courseworkStrong Microsoft Office skills requiredKnowledge on bank debt, bonds, CLO equity, structured products, and other fixed income products preferred

Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus.

    Note, the range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education, and other relevant qualifications specific to the role.$80,000 - $110,000The firm also offers robust Benefits offerings.
