- Maintain confidentiality of donor and staff records.
- Evaluate donors by performing physical examinations and taking medical and health histories under supervision of Center Medical/Lab Director. Counsel donors on deferrals due to test results, suitability as a donor and any other health deferral rationale.
- Also be responsible for maintaining medical supplies in exam rooms and keeping the exam rooms clean and sanitized. PS will work with Quality Manager and Center Manager to make sure the staff is practicing universal precautions and wearing personal protective equipment.
- Maintain medical communication logs with Center Medical/Lab Director. Responsible for medical issues in the donor center and may review complex cases with Center Medical/Lab Director.
- Responsible for the Hepatitis B program for staff employees.
- Minimum of six (6) months of experience in a GMP environment with plasma or whole blood experience preferred but may also review candidate with related experience in a clinical setting providing medical care and assessing patients.
