    Glass and Glazing Estimator

    Based in Temecula, CA (On-site)

    This position is a key role in helping a reputable subcontractor continue to grow their business. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates for commercial glass and glazing projects.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Utilize advanced estimating software such as OST and QuickBid to prepare accurate glass and glazing estimates.
    • Analyze project specifications, drawings, and scope of work to develop pricing strategies.
    • Provide precise estimates for various commercial glass and glazing project types and scopes.
    • Demonstrate expertise in glazing systems including curtain walls, storefronts, windows, doors, and other related materials.
    • Manage the full bidding process from initial estimate through to final review.
    • Meet bid deadlines consistently.
    • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of qualifications, exclusions, and conditions for all bids.
    • Establish strong relationships with suppliers to secure competitive pricing for materials.
    • Apply creative and strategic approaches to position the company for successful bids.
    • Review contracts for scope accuracy and bid amount before submission.
    • Mentor and assist junior team members and trainees.
    • Evaluate subcontractor proposals and ensure alignment with project scope and goals.
    • Monitor projects from award to completion ensuring estimates are accurate throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Perform other duties as assigned to support project management and business operations.

    Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of experience as a Glass and Glazing Estimator or in a similar role within the construction industry.
    • Proficiency with QuickBid and On-Screen Take-Off (OST) estimating software.
    • Advanced knowledge of glazing systems and materials including curtain walls, storefronts, windows, doors, and related finishes.
    • Strong understanding of the bidding process industry regulations, and cost estimation.
    • Ability to review and interpret contract terms including scope of work, qualifications, and bid amounts.
    • Capable of working in fast-paced environments with occasional noise from construction activities.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
