    HealthShare Operations Engineer

    Location – 100% remote (needs to be able to work Mountain Time hours – 8 am – 5:00 pm MT )

    On Call Rotation – Once every 4 weeks (24X7 Friday and Saturday and then some hours during the weekdays, but minimal)

    Contract Duration – 6-7 months

    Our client is looking for a HealthShare Operations Engineer to join their dynamic and growing environment. This is a company that knows how to incorporate fun into their environment be working onsite or remotely. The primary duties and responsibilities below generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all-inclusive. Responsibilities will include:

    • Coordinate and facilitate code deployments and configuration adjustments to the HIE environments.
    • Work with the Development Team to ensure application requirements are understood and translated to support and operations teams.
    • Review aspects of the HIE environments by analyzing requirements and ensuring that systems will offer security, availability and will be effectively integrated with current applications.
    • Assess capacity and performance metrics, implement improvement.
    • Focus on incident and problem management, coordinating resolution of service disruptions.
    • Provide training and guidance related to emerging technologies within interoperability technologies.
    • Communicate and present eloquently with the appropriate audience perspective in mind.
    • Work with Systems Administrators to properly tune and design OS releases to meet application requirements.
    • Review new and existing operational projects, system designs and plans while conducting research on emerging technologies to support changes in infrastructures.
    • Consult with the Technical Leads of various project initiatives to identify integration requirements and priorities, oversee and ensure quality and operational standards.
    • Create professional documentation and technical diagrams

    Required Skills and Expertise:

    Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or related discipline

    2+ years of experience working hands-on with the Intersystems HealthShare application.

    Expertise in performing clustering and load balancing within HealthShare environments.

    Familiarity with the following technologies:

    • HL7, FHIR, C-CCDA or CCD standards

    Desired Skills and Expertise:

    Experience with SOAP/REST API; Java/J2EE; XML technologies XML and related technologies including XML/ XSDs/ XSLTs Terraform and Ansible experience are a plus

    Experience working hands-on with Linux operating systems.

    Any familiarity with the following:

    • CI/CD tools including Jenkins, Puppet
    • Web/ Application Servers: Apache, Tomcat, JBoss, etc. (these are nice to have skills)
    • JMS, JMX, JSF, Web services, SOAP, etc. (nice
