    *Job Overview*
    We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic healthcare team at PAONIA CARE AND REHABILITATION CENTER. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide therapeutic services to patients in various settings, including inpatient and outpatient environments. Your focus will be on helping individuals regain their independence and improve their quality of life through tailored treatment plans.

    *Duties*

    * Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.
    * Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises, activities of daily living (ADLs), and functional mobility training.
    * Document patient progress and communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding changes in patient status.
    * Educate patients and their families on treatment goals and home exercise programs.
    * Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients during therapy sessions.
    * Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in skilled nursing facilities, acute care settings, and clinics to ensure comprehensive patient care.
    * Utilize medical terminology accurately when documenting and discussing patient care.

    *Requirements*

    * Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
    * Experience in inpatient, outpatient, geriatrics, or skilled nursing facility settings is preferred.
    * Knowledge of physiology and medical terminology relevant to occupational therapy practices.
    * Ability to understand and contribute to care plans tailored for individual patient needs.
    * Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
    * A compassionate approach towards patient care with a focus on improving quality of life through rehabilitation.
