    About the Employer

    Modesto City Schools is a Pre-K through 12th grade district, serving approximately 30,000 students. The District is one of the largest employers in Stanislaus County, with over 3,200 employees.

    It is divided into three divisions:
    Business Services, Educational Services and Human Resources.

    An Associate Superintendent oversees each division and a variety of programs, such as Child Development, Child Welfare & Attendance, Special Education, Nutrition Services and Transportation.

    Modesto City Schools also offers a Beginning Teachers Support and Assessment Program (BTSA) with a state approved Induction Curriculum by which new teachers attain their Professional Clear Credential.

    Requirements / Qualifications


    Upon successful completion of the class you may be hired as a Substitute Bus Operator, pay rate is $20.69 per hour.

    You must be at least 18 years old and able to pass a Department of Justice and Department of Motor Vehicle fingerprint / background check.

    Classroom and behind the wheel instruction will be provided, no experience necessary.
