As the Import / Export Supervisor
you will work with cross functional teams toensures the smooth and timely movement of international shipments by coordinating with all departments within the company and international partners.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise and track the priorities to make the crossing in time for import and export.
Assists and supervises all operations of the customs department in accordance with the laws and customs procedures for Mexican and U.S.
CustomsResponsible to meet audit requirements by U.S. and Mexican authorities.
Responsible for monitoring and updating of engineering changes.
Supervise the correct update in the database inventory control system (Cumple), components and finished products.
Responsible for the North American USMCA program (T-MEC).
Create certificate of origin for finished product as needed
Annual request of the raw material certificates of origin and manufacturer's affidavit
Input information & upload certificate in FTA Software solution
Control the finished goods & raw material certificates.
Respond to customs audits.
Make sure that all Customs transactions are following Mexican and U.S. Customs Law.
Monitoring compliance with U.S.
Customs laws and regulations through preimportation, importation and post-importation monitoring, including the accuracy of information provided by US brokers to Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
Classification of goods under the US and MX HS systemSetup new parts or modify existing information in the inventory control system
Qualifications
3+ year in similar role with supervisory experience
5+years' experience in Trade Compliance – Customs
Working knowledge of USMCA (T-MEC) qualification
2+ years' experience in classification under the Harmonized Tariff Schedule
Ability to prioritize continuous improvement
OEA qualification knowledge
Detailed understanding IMMEX progra
Bachelor's Degree
