Security Analyst - Consultant - Onsite

The client is responsible for securing the cloud infrastructure and maintaining enterprise cybersecurity threat monitoring and incident response capabilities.

A qualified candidate for this role should have experience in the following areas:

Cyber Threat Response and Incident Handling
Cloud platforms: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, Google Cloud Platform
Security Architecture and Engineering

Daily Duties / Responsibilities:

Help build and manage a Secure Cloud Infrastructure following client policies and industry best practices.
Report to the Security Operations Manager to enhance the client's Cyber threat detection and response capabilities.
Work independently, meet deadlines, and excel in a fast-paced environment.
Collaborate with multiple teams and vendors to advance security efforts.

Essential Responsibilities:

Identify and analyze threats to Cloud Based Systems.
Provide input on cloud security architectures.
Assist in Continuous Monitoring and Incident Response processes.
Conduct security audits of resources in Cloud Based Systems.
Investigate and resolve security incidents.
Serve as a Security Subject Matter Expert.
Conduct security assessments and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Required Skills (Rank in Order of Importance):

10+ years of IT experience with Windows, Linux, and Cloud technologies.
2-4 years of Cloud Security monitoring and incident response experience.
Strong knowledge of AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and Azure.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work both independently and as part of a team.
Detail-oriented with a strategic mindset.

Preferred Skills (Rank in Order of Importance):

3+ years of experience with Cloud platforms.
Experience with cloud security tools and infrastructure management.
Knowledge of full-stack deployment.

Required Education/Certifications:

Cloud Certification (e.g., CCSP), GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), Security+ or equivalent.

Preferred Education/Certifications:

BS degree in computer science or related field, Network security certifications.
