    Job Description Description The Grants Manager is responsible for tracking, planning, implementing, and evaluating the grants program. The role of the Grants Manager covers both implementation and compliance functions. Implementation functions relate to the broad view of helping an organization manage grant funding, set goals, and implement programs.

    Compliance functions relate to tracking program performance to achieve organizational goals and comply with funding criteria and requirements and reporting.

    Functions/Responsibilities:

    Leads programs funded by grants from government agencies and private donors.



    Ensuring regulation compliance, following the grantor's guidelines, liaising with the grantor and evaluating the performance of assigned programs and projects.


    Monitor program budgets and expenditure and coordinate with Executive Director to ensure effective program.



    Maintain records of payments, manage change requests, and perform research on all grant issues and prepare monthly records for grant related activities.


    Administer grant records and evaluate financial reports to analyze annual progress and perform review of grant expenditure.


    Evaluate and monitor program results in coordination with Executive Director and report monthly to the board.


    Manage communication with grantors and accounting departments.


    Analyze processes, provide enhancements to grant programs if required and manage grant management processes according to policies and procedures.


    Collaborate with staff and Board Members; prepare reports for organization and submit status reports as required.


    Evaluate all budgets and analyze costs according to budget and ensure work within appropriate deadline.


    Monitor and analyze budget trends and make recommendations for cost control.


    Maintain records for billings and prepare appropriate reports for cost allocation.
    Skills, Knowledge and Expertise No specific education required.

    However, the Grants Manager must possess above skills, knowledge and qualities which may result from formal education or at least three years of experience in business, non-profit operational and financial management, or related areas.

    Maintains effective systems to account for grant awards and the organization's performance using the funds.

    Manages corporate programs to maximize the use of grant funds in accordance with organizational policies and procedures, grant requirements, and applicable law.

    General understanding of operations of a nonprofit organization provides advice to its Executive Director and staff and/or solicits guidance from experts.

    Understands the duties and responsibilities of the position and keeps job knowledge up to date.
