    Description

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Receiving Clerk works in the Receiving area of the store, handling tasks such as merchandise stocking, inventory control, pricing, and processing returns.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Maintains a strong commitment to exceptional customer service, ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for all customers.
    • Unloads trucks, stocks merchandise, prices items, and handles returns.
    • Ensures the Receiving area layout adheres to Corporate Office guidelines.
    • Interacts with colleagues in a friendly, positive, and professional manner.
    • Keeps the work area clean, organized, and safe.
    • Follows all Company Policies and Procedures.
    • Stays informed about current sales promotions.
    • PERFORMS ALL OTHER ASSIGNED DUTIES.

    EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum Requirement: High school diploma or equivalent experience.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

    • Able to handle basic math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication).
    • Effective communication with customers and colleagues in a friendly and professional manner.
    • Capable of establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with Management, peers, and customers.

    TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

    • None.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Regularly lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
    • Stand and/or walk for extended periods.
    • Perform repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, and fingers.
    • Climb ladders, stairs, ramps, etc., as needed.
    • Occasionally use machinery, power tools, vehicles, or heavy equipment.
    • Communicate with others to exchange information.
    • Occasionally handle objects weighing over 100 pounds.
    • Work in tight, confined, indoor/outdoor, noisy, or hazardous spaces, as required.

    INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:

    • Complete tasks under supervision, following established procedures and using innovation.
    • Make decisions within limited options to solve problems, occasionally requiring independent judgment.
    • Suggest improvements to work procedures, policies, and practices.
