    Paraprofessional

    SUPPORT STUDENTS IN ACHIEVING THEIR EDUCATIONAL, SOCIAL, AND EMOTIONAL GOALS.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Be kind, considerate, and compassionate towards students and teachers.
    • Build strong relationships with students and their teachers.
    • Support students in displaying and maintaining on-task behavior.
    • Assist teachers with implementing school-wide positive behavior initiatives.
    • Follow student-specific treatment, teaching, or lesson plans to support students' goals.

    Requirements:

    • High school graduate, GED, or equivalent education and training.
    • Background checks as required by local and state laws.
    • First aid and/or CPR certification.
    • Registration or Certification as required by state regulations.

    Additional Skills and Abilities:

    • Strong commitment to clinical excellence.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Good communication skills.
    • Ability to support students in using technology and adaptive devices.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 25 pounds.
    • Prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting.
    • Must be able to sit and climb stairs.
    • Must have visual and hearing acuity.

    Environment:

    • Must be able to function in a wide variety of environments.
    • Possible exposure to allergens and other conditions.
