    (Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm with rotating weekends)

    The Utilities position is an integral part of ensuring the environment at Ashley is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness. This position will perform housekeeping duties as assigned as well as, trash removal, patient moves as needed, and other similar functions to support the operation of Ashley.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Delivers incoming packages to staff and patients daily.
    • Cleans building floors daily, by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, shampooing, and waxing.
    • Pulls and removes trash.
    • Moves furniture, changes mattresses, stocks supply, or performs other related services as needed
    • Assists with the set-up and arrangement of tables, chairs, ladders, scaffolding, trash etc. for events.
    • Provides laundry service and luggage movement for patients from admission to discharge.
    • Operates a pressure washer to clean exterior of buildings, entranceways, and walks as needed.
    • Operates company vehicles and golf carts.
    • Responds rapidly and thoroughly to emergencies, special situations, spills, etc.
    • Provides quality customer service to patients, staff, and visitors.
    • Performs general cleaning in patient rooms, offices, meeting rooms, bathrooms, common spaces, auditoriums, and gymnasiums as needed.
    • Assists with making beds as part of patient room cleaning procedure.
    • Utilizes efficient and effective cleaning techniques and safely uses housecleaning chemicals, equipment, and tools.

    In addition to role responsibilities, each staff member of Ashley, Inc. has the following responsibilities as a part of their employment:

    • Performs other duties on an as-needed basis

    • Protects the privacy of our patient's protected health information by maintaining compliance with HIPAA and other relevant Ashley related IT security regulations

    DESIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

    • High School Diploma or GED required
    • Experience in the hospitality or healthcare industries preferred but not necessary
    • Able to read and interpret documents such as safety bulletins, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
    • Ability to act with integrity, remain professional, and exercise discretion at all times
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Valid state issued driver's license with a clean driving record required.
    • Must communicate effectively in writing and orally
    • Must be able to multi-task and prioritize
    • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, ever changing environment. Must be proactive, responsible, and flexible


    POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

    ☒May need to work untraditional work hours such as weekends, evenings, observed holidays, and nights.

    ☒ This is an essential or critical position which will require reporting to work as defined by the business needs of Ashley, Inc.
