    About Energy Capital Ventures (ECV)

    Energy Capital Ventures is the only early-stage venture capital fund solely dedicated to the sustainability, resilience, and digital transformation of the natural gas industry. In addition to this unique thesis, which makes the firm advocate in innovation for what it has defined as Green MoleculesTM, ECV further differentiates itself with a deep integration and customized engagement with its corporate limited partners (publicly traded energy companies and key stakeholders in the natural gas industry).     ECV invests primarily at the Seed+/ Series A level. In regard to "sustainability and resilience," this would be considered deep tech or hard tech. As to "digital transformation" this equates to SaaS or hardware companies. The Firm leads rounds, takes board seats and is extraordinarily active in supporting its portfolio companies. This support spans all areas that any individual portfolio company may need, E.G. – recruiting, strategy, fund raising, sales, business development, product, finance, team building, etc. Energy Capital Ventures devotes significant time and resources to management coaching, mentoring and advising entrepreneurs. ECV is equally as active in promoting and advocating the adoption of Green MoleculesTM innovation. Moreover, the Firm is very engaged supporting its corporate limited partners.

    70% of Energy Capital Ventures investment portfolio will be in North America, with an ability to invest up to 30% Internationally. At least 75% of investments will directly relate to the natural gas industry innovation imperatives. Up to 25% of investments may include broader energy technologies that have secondary benefits to natural gas sector.

    Energy Capital Ventures is led by a team of top-performing VCs and career long investment bankers from the energy industry.     About the Role

    This is not a typical entry-level venture firm role. At any given time, up to 60% of the role can be dedicated to platform support – marketing, portfolio support, platform management, fund operations, firm marketing, event planning and LP coordination. The role also includes traditional entry-level venture capital responsibilities – deal sourcing, research and investment thesis development. As the Energy Capital Ventures evolves, this role can lead to a full-time venture investment professional role. Regardless due to the deep integration and customized engagement ECV has with its corporate limited partners, all roles have a responsibility supporting the ECV platform.     Qualifications

    • 2 to 4 years of work experience in venture capital, investment banking, strategy, management consulting, marketing, finance or similar role
    • College degree, (MBA not required)
    • Experience in energy, physical sciences, engineering, digital marketing or corporate venture capital a plus
