    The Business Support Senior Specialist will play an important role with evolving responsibilities including, but not limited to, various kinds of reporting, following established processes in maintaining accurate financial records, accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and assisting with financial reporting.

    The successful candidate will have an understanding of fundamental accounting principles, excellent attention to detail, and be self-motivated while working independently in a primarily remote working environment.

    The RoleResponsibilities are intended to evolve over time and may include the following examples:
    Building relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teamsRecord day-to-day financial transactions accurately and timely using accounting software (QuickBooks Enterprise)

    Ensure all transactions are properly classified, coded according to the chart of accounts, and obtaining the necessary approvalsProcess vendor invoices accurately and timely, ensuring adherence to terms and company policiesPrepare and file 1099 formsPrepare and issue payments to vendors through various payment methods including checks, ACH, and wire transfersMonitor accounts receivable, follow up on outstanding balances and assist in reconciling discrepanciesReconcile bank statements on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepanciesInvestigate and resolve discrepancies or issues related to bank transactions in a timely mannerAssist in the preparation of financial statements including balance sheets and income statementsProvide support during audits by preparing schedules and providing documentation as requestedAssist in the preparation and monitoring of annual budgetsTrack expenses against budgeted amounts and provide updates to management as requestedComply with relevant accounting standards and company policiesAssist with the calculation of renewalsAssist with underwriting for prospectsEnsure all deliverables align with objectives, leverage company resources, and adhere to WTWs professional excellence standardsAssist with or lead special projects, migrations, implementations as neededThe RequirementsBased in the United States, preferably in Colorado, as occasional meetings and some training will be in personIdeally, 3+ years of successful experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or related rolesRelevant education and/or experience will be consideredIntermediate proficiency with accounting software (preferably QuickBooks) and Microsoft 365 (primarily Excel, Outlook, and Word)Fundamental understanding of accounting principles and practicesExcellent attention to detail and accuracyAbility to consistently and effectively prioritize tasks and manage timeStrong analytical, problem-solving, and retention skillsExcellent communication including written and interpersonal skillsAbility to maintain confidentialitySome experience with data analysis and reporting preferredNote:

    Compensation and BenefitsBase salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation.

    Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role.

    CompensationThe base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $55,000-$60,000 USD.This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
