    Leidos Defense Systems, is seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.


    The position will lead the execution of mechanical design and engineering tasks supporting the Department of Defense, intelligence, and missile applications. Candidate will be responsible for applying sound mechanical engineering & design principles in the development of machined, structural, sheet metal, & composite component parts. Candidate will be responsible for bill of material development and component specification for mechanical assemblies. Candidate must be able to apply engineering design processes, such as design for manufacture, drawing production, configuration management, and integration and development of complex mechanical systems.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degreein Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an ABET-accredited university with 2+ years of experience
    • Demonstrated experience in the following areas:
      • Mechanical design of structures
      • CAD and 3D Modeling
      • Drawing production in accordance with ASME Y14.100
    • Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area

    Pay Range:

    Pay Range $65, $117,500.00
