JOB SUMMARY

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Physician Assistant to join the Neurology Team in Temple, Texas.

The Physician Assistant Medical Specialty is a non-physician healthcare provider offering direct patient care with prescriptive authority, working in various medical specialties.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

Conduct thorough physical and mental assessments of patients
Order and evaluate diagnostic tests
Prescribe treatments and therapies
Create patient treatment plans
Provide patient counseling
Maintain accurate patient records
Offer specialty consultation services
Perform specialized procedures
Flexibility to handle patient care beyond regular hours

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS

Proficiency in diagnosing and treating medical conditions
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Computer skills
Ability to develop and implement patient treatment plans
Current Physician Assistant license in Texas
Basic Life Support certification
Certification by the NCCPA

SCHEDULE

M-F 8-5, No weekends or on-call responsibilities

EDUCATION - Graduate of an Accredited Program
EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year
