    JOB SUMMARY

    Responsible for providing comprehensive nutritionassessments and care planning for patients and residents withspecial needs. Implements business practices in order to upholdCHRISTUS Mission and values.

    MAJOR JOBRESPONSIBILITIES


    • Develops nutrition plans,including specifications, methods and timetables depending onpatient and resident status and needs


    •Accountable for the execution of service quality by maintaininghighest level of delivery


    • Promotes andsupports workplace diversity initiatives


    •Directs dietary care of patients and residents with special needsincluding screening, assessment, intervention, care and dischargeplanning to ensure patient nutrition needs and customersatisfaction levels are met


    • Educates medicalstaff and counsels patients/residents and their families on propernutritional care


    • Manages and promotes food andnutrition programs according to hospital standards andpolicy


    • Collaborates and communicates withculinary and clinical departments on established processes, specialdiets, and menu requests


    • Stays current withmost recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy,certifications, and standards of practice


    •Probes potential problems and apprises manager of status onresolution of problems or issues, using appropriate resource whennecessary


    • Ensures compliance with all federal,state and local regulations as well CHRISTUS policies andprocedures (e. g.. HIPPA/Privacy Act, quality assurance, safety,operations, personnel)


    • Establishes operatingstandards, implements quality improvements and communications themto other departments

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor'sDegree
    • Diet License in state ofemployment
    • CDRRD
