    Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Software Developer (Active Clearance Preferred)opportunity in West Milton, NY (near Saratoga Springs).

    Clearance: Active or recently active DOE or DOD clearance strongly preferred. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance.

    Job Description:
    This position will support a project that develops advanced naval nuclear propulsion technology and trains world-class nuclear operators to ensure the safety and reliability of our Navy's submarine and aircraft fleet.

    Our company is looking for a Software Developer to join our team. The Software Developer will join a team that designs, develops, implements, tests, deploys, and supports in-house computer and mobile application software for lines of business that further our mission to support the World's Best Navy. The Software Developer will lead or participate in the development, maintenance, and support of software applications from initial design through application retirement, including improvements to enhance user experience and increase efficiency.

    Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited college or university
    • Active or recently active DOE or DOD clearance
    • United States Citizenship
    Desired Qualifications:
    • Proficient in a variety of software programming languages and platforms
    • Proficient in development on the Microsoft Power Platform, ServiceNow, or similar low code/no code application tools.
    • Proficient in Microsoft SharePoint (site ownership, page design, lists and libraries, etc.).
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Access, Visual Basic, Word, Outlook, etc.)
    • Experience migrating software applications
    • Experience in database design and administration
    • Experience working with cybersecurity requirements and testing
    • Experience writing system documentation and end-user training
    • Experience with cloud-based computing
    • Strong communication (verbal and written), customer service, teamwork, and process improvement skills
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
    Compensation:
    Salary is commensurate with education and experience and may range between $80,000 to $135,000 annually.
