    JOB PURPOSE

    This role is on CIBC's Loan Operation team, a fast-paced back-office environment responsible for providing efficient operational support while maintaining compliance with internal controls and procedures within the functional area.

    This role will be accountable for providing professional and timely support to the Insurance Monitoring team by verifying and processing insurance documentation received from internal stakeholders (e.g. Banking Centers, LOB and Loan Closers) and ensuring the documentation is accurate and complete according to policies and procedures for further processing. This role exercises independent judgement in determining feasible solutions for clients, handling situations that require further analysis and investigation.

    This role will work closely with the vendor and Loan Services to resolve insurance processing errors and ensure the collateral tracking and data is correct.

    In addition, this role will assist with the review of collateral documentation to be released for partial and fully paid loans and ensure the established SLA times are achieved in accordance with the procedures and guidelines.

    Additional responsibilities will consist of various projects across the team inclusive of UCC continuations, metrics reporting and providing support and assistance to the Collateral Manager as needed.


    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

    Work collaboratively with various lines of businesses and support staff on all aspects of servicing the loans from post-closing to paid in full.

    Develop strong relationships with the line of businesses to build sustained confidence in order to improve the overall client experience.

    Escalate to Collateral Manager all issues that may impact the ongoing processes. Comfortable with phone conversations and phone etiquette.
    System knowledge - navigate many varied systems and is technically savvy.

    Examples of systems used in this role:
    ACBS, Metavante, Aspire, Loan Manager, Private Link, Microsoft etc.
    Product Knowledge - familiar with any CIBC products; bank accounts; credit cards; lending; investments; mortgages, etc.
    Multi-tasking and working in fast-paced, often-changing environment. Work in a team where processes and procedures are changing and updating.

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
    Bachelor's degreeor equivalent work experience

    Minimum 5-10 years' experience
