    Job DescriptionSalary: $80-120k

    JOB TITLE: Systems Engineer, JAMA

    DEPARTMENT: Engineering

    REPORTING TO: CTO via the Project Engineer

    The Systems Engineer works with a multifunction team - management, customers, suppliers, and specialty engineers - in support of complete advanced design development primarily by defining and coordinating design and system requirements.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions
    • Perform analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties factored into a preferred certification to ensure mission success
    • Develop and maintain all Project SE documents
    • Support the preparation and execution of detailed projects plans, ERs, ICD and specifications
    • Assist in preparing test schedules and defining tasks.
    • Work with PM to ensure Cost/Schedule has been appropriately allocated by WBS
    • Support development of proposals, PDC, IDR, CDR and other system test plans.
    • Prepare and present reports on system test results, assisting developers with system design.
    • Collect and analyze system requirements, test data and customer requests to assess system operations.
    • Coordinate design development and system integration (including subcontractors)
    • Perform cost and weight studies for alternative design concepts
    • Support the development and execution of FAR Part 27 certification plans.
    • Support the Chief Engineer's ad hoc tasking as requested
    • Configure, implement, and support Jama and TaskTop applications; support Jira, Jenkins, and GitLab/GitHub related plug-ins.
    • Design, develop & implement custom Jama and JIRA workflows.
    • Develop custom Jama and JIRA reports and dashboards.
    • Develop and deliver training and documentation for Developers, QA, and Product Management.
    • Design, develop & implement TaskTop, Jira, Jenkins, and GitHub integrations.

    KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:

    • Minimum of 3 years of project engineering experience
    • Proficiency with JAMA software platform
    • Aircraft mechanical and software system integration and systems detail design and certification experience.
    • Familiarity with FAR Part 27 certification of aero/mechanical systems, to include AD-89, SD-24, MIL-HDBK-516C or ADS-50
    • Systems performance testing and validation
    • Good communication skills on technical issues.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
    • CAD experience/SolidWorks.
    • Software and DO160/178 experience

    EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS / CLEARANCES:

    • Bachelor's degree in, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, and or Electrical Engineering.
