    CNC Mill Machinist Oklahoma City, OK

    Grit Resources is hiring for a CNC mill machinist to work for an awesome company in the Oklahoma City metro area If you have experience with mill machines and enjoy production work then this might be the position for you Multiple shifts are available Apply with us today

    CNC Mill Machinist Responsibilities:

    • The CNC mill machinist operates computer numerical control machines to fabricate parts.
    • Loads parts in the machine, cycles machine and detects malfunctions in machine operations, such as worn or damaged cutting tools.
    • Adjust the machine to control speed, material feed and path of the cut, as well as make sure the machines are set up properly, working well, and producing quality product.
    • The CNC mill machinist will review the finished product to ensure it is defect-free and ready for the next step in production.
    • Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment.
    • Translate the requirements of detailed part drawings into measurements for production
    • Regularly perform milling, turning, drilling, tapping, de-burring, sawing, and sanding tasks.
    • Assist in other work areas to perform fabrication, lay-up, infiltration, furnace operation and sand blasting tasks.

    CNC Mill Machinist Requirements:

    • Strong basic math skills including decimals and fractions
    • Ability to work with gauges and calipers
    • Extensive knowledge of machinist maintenance and operation
    • Prior experience as a CNC mill machinist or using production machinery (Preferred)
    • CAM Software experience
    • Familiarity with Fanuc 6T controls, hollow-spindle lathes, vertical & horizontal mills with Haas, Fanuc, Mazak, or Mitsubishi controls
    • High school diploma or Equivalent or prior experience as a CNC machinist can substitute for education.
    CNC Mill Machinist Working Conditions:
    • Regularly required to talk or hear
    • Frequently required to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle or feel as well as reach with hands and arms.
    • The position requires frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling objects that are 50 pounds or lighter.
    • The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, vibration, and moving mechanical parts.
    • Noise level in the shop may be loud.
