    Job Duties
    Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks to preserve the appearance and integrity of terrazzo floors. This includes sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing to remove dirt, stains, and debris.
    Assess the condition of terrazzo floors and recommend appropriate restoration or repair techniques. Conduct grinding, honing, and polishing procedures to eliminate scratches, stains, and imperfections. Fill cracks and voids with appropriate materials to restore the structural integrity of the floor.
    Apply sealants, coatings, and finishes to protect terrazzo floors from damage and enhance their shine and durability. Utilize sealing techniques to prevent moisture penetration and staining.

    Operate specialized equipment such as floor buffers, polishers, grinders, and diamond abrasives to perform various terrazzo floor care tasks efficiently and effectively.

    Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of equipment for optimal performance.

    Prepare terrazzo floors for maintenance, restoration, or installation projects by assessing surface conditions, conducting necessary repairs, and implementing appropriate preparation techniques such as cleaning, grinding, and leveling.

    Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and client expectations. Address any deficiencies or issues promptly and effectively.
    Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing terrazzo floor care activities. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to minimize hazards and risks.
    Interact professionally with clients to understand their specific needs and preferences. Provide recommendations and guidance on terrazzo floor maintenance practices, products, and services.

    Operate industrial floor care equipment as assigned and according to schedule for cleaning of a large area of floor surface.

    Must know how to select appropriate brushes, pads, and chemicals for equipment. Takes care of and maintains equipment to ensure it operates effectively and efficiently. Keeps storage and supply areas neat clean and well stocked.

    Performs general housekeeping and janitorial duties Picks up trash and runs trash routes, and maintains hallways in a clear and safe manner.

    Responds quickly and appropriately to the removal of hallway obstructions.
    Physical ability to perform work involving walking, standing, stooping, operating cleaning equipment, and lifting of materials and equipment.
    Knowledge of safety and security precautions appropriate to work performed.

    Requirements:


    Must have proven experience as a terrazzo floor care technician or similar role, with expertise in terrazzo floor maintenance, restoration, and repair techniques.

    Must have a minimum of 4-5 years of experience in terrazzo floor care is required for this position.
    Must provide three employment references who can attest to terrazzo experience.
    Proficiency in operating specialized equipment such as floor buffers, polishers, grinders, and diamond abrasives.
    In-depth knowledge of terrazzo floor materials, treatments, and finishes.
    Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
    Must be able to work THIRD SHIFT hours (10 pm - 6:30 am)
    Must be able to work weekend hours.
    Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
    Must meet strict background requirements (No history of felonies, family violence, or crimes against children will be considered).
    Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
