- Review product data to determine raw material requirements, hardware needs, and scope of work, including 2D prints, parts lists, 3D models, engineering change orders, and specification documents.
- Create Manufacturing Process Planning documentation outlining operations such as raw material procurement, milling, bending, welding, painting, and special processing.
- Incorporate post-machining operations like NDT, heat treatments, plating requirements, and other necessary steps.
- Plan the sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations to guide production workers.
- Prepare lists of required materials, tools, and equipment.
- Identify raw materials with special requirements, such as grain direction, maximum stock thicknesses, and ultrasonic inspection requirements.
- Highlight special instructions, including masking requirements, part mark locations, film thicknesses, pre-plating dimensions, and more.
- Integrate engineering changes into planning as they become available.
- Maintain knowledge of Aviation Industry and government specifications, such as Mil-Specs, NAS, AISI, Boeing, etc.
- Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of manufacturing technologies.
